3 Ways to Style Boyfriend Jeans

3 Ways to Style Boyfriends Jeans

Boyfriend jeans have been around for a while now and due to their comfortable and relaxed style I don't see them going anywhere soon. Due to their baggy nature they can be a little tricky to style, so I've put together 3 ways I'd wear boyfriend jeans.

Before we get into the outfits, lets talk about the jeans themselves. The ones I've worn throughout are from Miss Shop, however I did get them over a year ago, so I've linked a few other pairs that I love at the end of this post.

These particular pair are in a light wash, that I personally prefer when it comes to boyfriend style jeans. They also feature rips and distressing to the front which adds to the whole "I stole my boyfriends old jeans" look. While these ones aren't cuffed I tend to always roll the ends up to give a cropped appearance.

Casual Days

For the first look I wanted to keep the look pretty chilled and something you could easily wear on a day to day basis. I've gone with a scoop neck white tee from Bonds and paired tan accessories to keep the look light and perfect for summer.

This Seed Heritage bag (no longer available online) is very on trend with the large metal ring detail to the front (very Chloe inspired). It is also surprisingly spacious for a smaller bag, featuring 3 internal compartments.

While these Tony Bianco heels (similar here) are in a darker tan colour than the bag, they still work well together as they are both in the same colour palette.

This look is very versatile, and while I think heels work perfectly with boyfriend jeans, a pair of flats or white sneakers would also work well.

Daytime Glam

I imagine wearing this kind of look to a lunchtime event were the dress code is more relaxed.

The black cami from ASOS, is a very delicate piece with a beautiful low scoop back (I love any item that features a low back) that gives boyfriend jeans an understated sex appeal to them.

The gold western inspired buckle on this belt adds interest to the outfit and ties back nicely with my other gold accessories.

A strappy black heel (similar here) adds another delicate and feminine touch that contrasts well with the otherwise masculine jeans.

To finish the look off I added a red lip which really elevates the whole look and adds a more sophisticated element.

Girls Night

Blazer and boyfriend Jeans | Cassandra Lee Blog

I feel like this look has a bit of rock 'n' roll vibe to it (for me anyway). The burgundy tones in this blazer (similar here) matches the colour of these vintage pumps, and will keep you warm when out for the evening.

The sequin top (similar here) also has purple tones in the black sequins which ties back to the blazer and shoes well. The top is definitely the statement piece of the outfit and the perfect item for night time glam.

I've kept my makeup simple so not to distract from the top, with a light smokey eye in brown tones.
