Writers Block

ASOS Khaki Raw edge frill top

Hear that? No it's not the sound of cogs turning, or electricity sparking, or a train pulling into the station. It's the sound of nothing. Silence. Metaphorically, I am speaking about the fact that my brain is dead! No ideas, no creativity. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Writers block.

Seeing as my brain just doesn't want to come up with even the slightest good idea to write a post about, I thought why the hell not write about exactly what's going on in my head. After all I created this blog to share my experiences as well as my personal style and beauty tips.

I have to admit one of my biggest concerns when I started this blog was the thought that I would run out of things to write about. I'm an amateur writer after all. Wait, scratch that, I wouldn't consider myself a writer at all. But here am at 10 o'clock at night typing out this post on my phone because I suddenly had words forming in my head. Hallelujah!

This past month not only have I been struggling with what to write, I've also been struggling to come up with ideas for photos for things like Instagram. And while all these things are just hobbies and it really isn't that important if I don't post every day or week, I have goals for myself in regards to this blog. I want to be putting out the best content I can and on a regular basis. And now because of this blog, I have been given the opportunity to contribute to another blog (Toowoomba Living, check it out, I try and post there every 6 weeks), and I now have another opportunity to work on another blog within my job.

I think it is the pressure of coming up with content for all these platforms, that has somewhat freaked me out and made my brain go on holiday. Funny how our heads work like that. I am so unbelievably grateful for these opportunities and want to be able to take full advantage of these experiences. I have fun blogging and taking photos for instagram and seeing how people interact with different posts. Its fascinating and exciting. But also there is so much pressure (all from myself I might add) to create wonderful things that people will enjoy.

So with all this lack of creativity over in my corner of the earth, I want to know, how do you stay inspired? What gets your creative juices flowing?

I hope this coming month I get a new wave of inspiration and produce more and more content that you love to read.
