Let's Catch Up

It's been about 2 months since I last did a little life update here on my blog, and thought it was a good time to do another one as there has been a few changes in the last month or so. Grab yourself a hot drink and lets have a virtual coffee date.

1. I now consider myself a working mum (at least part time anytime). I just recently started working at a local fashion boutique and so far I couldn't be happier with the position. It's only a few days a week at the moment, which is perfect for Amelia. And I am getting the retail experience that I want. Not only that I get to play around with photos for the businesses social media and helping with their blog. Not sure if you've noticed but I'm kind of addicted to social media.

2. Of course, with starting a new job came the daunting task of finding day care for Amelia. Which to be honest has been pretty stressful and I'm still not sure if we have it all worked out. Because I'm working casually, my days are going to be changing every now and again, which means Amelia has to go into occasional care. Unfortunately there is only 1 place in the area that offers this, so places are limited. We've had a few days this month were we have had to ask family to come up and look after Amelia or Cam has taken time of work, but hopefully now we know how it all works, we will be able to get her in for everyday we need next month.

3. Sickness has been filling our household this week. Amelia has had fevers, snotty nose and cough all week, and I haven't been much better either. Cam has also just come down with it, but fingers crossed we are all on the mend. Nothing worse than having a sick child who isn't sleeping.

4. You wouldn't have seen on Instagram and I mentioned it a few posts back, that I was lucky enough to go down to Vivid Festival in Sydney at the end of May (thanks to my lovely Mother in law and her sister). The highlight by far for me, was being able to see Margaret Zhang speak. She is such as inspiring woman who is accomplishing some amazing things at such a young age. She really is a great role model.

5. My blog has taken a bit of a back seat this month, with me struggling with inspiration and motivation and having the ongoing battle with producing consistent content. I'm not loving the quality of the images I'm currently putting up on here, so I am trying to work out how I can improve on them in the coming months, so hopefully imagery will be getting better in the coming months.

I thought it would be nice to continue to do these little updates every so often, so you can get to me a little better. They won't be too often, as lets be honest, my life is not that interesting. I'd love to get to know you better too, so let me know what you've been up to, or if you've got anything exciting coming up.
