Life Update

Life Update

This will just be a quick little update post of sorts, to fill you in on whats been happening over the last 3 weeks. Cam has been down in Melbourne for work, leaving me at home to look after the kids (Amelia and our dog, Apache).

How to wear stripes

I don't know how single mums do it. The last few weeks have gone pretty well, but there is no way I could do it all the time. Thank god, I'm not back at work yet, as I don't think I could have dealt with that as well.

The first two weeks, went quite well. Amelia behaved and while it was difficult to walk Apache next to the pram, it didn't end in disaster. I have managed to stay on top of the housework better then I ever do, with the kitchen being cleaned every night before bed. Ok, most nights, I may have slacked off a couple of nights.

Stripe top

We had my in laws, sister and brother in law and my Mum, come up for Mother's Day weekend, which was really nice. And thank you to you all for helping around the house, you really didn't need to do as much as you did.

Oh and apparently, I'm a natural when it comes to flipping crapes. My first time making them and I think not only did they provide a delicious Mother's Day breakfast, it also provided a tonne of entertainment for the family.

Stripes and jeans

I also met up with Lynda, the editor and creator of the blog Toowoomba Living to work on our next style post which hopefully will be going up soon. I'm very happy with how the day went, however, unfortunately Amelia was not in the greatest of moods, so we didn't get as much stuff done as what we would have liked. But alas, that's what happens when you have a child. You work around them. It was also great meeting Carolyn, Grand Central's personal stylist. Man, that woman knows what she is talking about. You can tell just by talking to her, that she is very interested in the industry and stays up to date with what is happening with in it.

Winged liner

As for this week, it's a pretty quite week, trying to become more organised with this blog, so that I can start producing regular content that is of a high quality. Something that I must say is much more difficult than it sounds.

I've also been trying my best to stay up to date with MBFWA, following loads of people on snapchat and living my life through them lol. If your interested check out the MBFWA youtube channel, they are putting up videos of all the shows. I have to say every single collection has been incredible. We truly do have some talented designers in this country. I'm thinking of doing a post with some of my favourite looks from the runway next week, so keep an eye out for that.

And that's where I'll leave you. I know this is a more relaxed post but I hope you still enjoyed reading it. Let me know what's been happening in your life.
